Tracking devices

A gps is actually a navigating system that is used to tell you the user where you are or give you directions for an intended destination. A tracking device is as the name suggests used to find the whereabouts of something or someone being tracked. Combine the two technologies and a gps tracking device emerges where all it takes may be a magnetic chip of a piece of metal.
Taking the car chasing example, a small piece of metal may be installed in the car and satellites in space automatically pick up the signal waves that the device is now emanating and the movements of the vehicle in question emerges on a computer screen. Another type of chip that is more of a magnetic strip can be placed near the engine of the car or anywhere else inconspicuous and the movements tracked. This comes in especially handy when illegal activities may be suspected, the law enforcers have the authority to place a tracking device on the vehicle in question instead of tediously following them around and wasting precious petroleum.
This also helps in reducing other things like car theft, and for the parent who has a new teenager on the road, a tracking device may be installed so that they have turn by turn detailed reports of the child’s whereabouts, the child of course may not like that but it is question of parental safety. This also makes the teenager a better and more careful driver in the future.
Of course, the magnetic tracker can be attached without the drivers’ knowledge but this is only allowed by law enforcement bodies and certainly not allowed or recommended as a leisure activity. The best part is all the bad guys can be caught in minutes and they won’t even be able to deny as all the data is downloaded from the satellites and stored for easy reference at any time!

What is the first car to come with a Navigation System?

Over the last few years more and more car companies started putting navigation systems in their cars. Some cars come with a navigation system while it was being built which is usually a bigger screen. And some cars dont so you would have to buy one and attach it. The earliest cars I know that came with a navigation system is the 1998 Lexus LS 400, and the earliest one I know is a 1997 Acura RL (Which some came with a navigation system).
Could anyone give me a earlier car that came with a navigation system.

GPS Tracking Devices - Teens Vs Parents, Law Enforcement Vs Invasion Of Privacy

Fleet Vehicles and GPS Tracking Devices
You’ll find that there are many companies both large and small that use global positioning tracking devices to follow the location of their vehicles. The majority of trucking companies have the capability to tell you where all of their vehicles are at any given point in time. In a similar manner, taxi companies as well as repair companies have the capability to monitor their trucks location so that they can dispatch them in a more efficient manner.
However, there are people that believe this gives the companies who choose to use GPS tracking devices more information than is needed about their drivers. For instance, trucking companies have the capability to know how much time a trucker has spent on the road, when and for what period of time he stops for sleep or meals and if he has taken any unscheduled side trips.
Dispatchers at these companies may be privy to personal information that is none of their business, such as a driver having lunch each day at the same place, and it is not his residence. Some individuals are of the opinion that this constitutes an invasion of personal privacy.
Teens and GPS Tracking Devices
There are some parents who use global positioning tracking devices to know the location of their teens. They may download global positioning system tracking software technology to the mobile phones of their teens, or they may place a global positioning system tracking device somewhere in their car. The teenagers may or may not be aware that their parents are monitoring them.
There is likely quite a few teens who believe that this is and invasion of their privacy.
GPS Tracking Devices and Surveillance
Does the thought run through your mind if your spouse having an affair? Curious to find out what your brother-in-law is up to? If you place a hidden GPS tracking device on their vehicle, you will at least know where they are going in their car. You may have to come to your own conclusions as to what they are actually doing there.
There are many people who would agree that this would be an invasion of privacy and quite a few would be offended if they either knew or suspected you were tracking them. Things get a little more involved when police use GPS tracking devices.
Global positioning tracking devices have been used by police to successfully solve crimes. An example of the conflict between serving justice and invasion of privacy; say the police put a GPS tracking device on the car of a person they suspect of being a murderer. They successfully track the the murderer as he unknowingly leads them to the victims grave. Is this an invasion of privacy? Should law enforcement officials be allowed to use global positioning tracking devices this way?
If, for instance, the police need to obtain a search warrant from a judge to use a GPS tracking device, should a private citizen be able to use this technology without a warrant? Should the average private citizen even be allowed to use global positioning tracking device technology at all? At times the right to privacy and the right to information are in conflict, this is one of those time.
All technology has moral and ethical implications that we as individuals and society as a whole has to grapple with. The right to privacy is the ethical dilemma we are forced to deal with when we use GPS tracking device technology.

One of a great benefit of children tracking devices is that they can help parents find out where their child is. Whether their child stopping by somewhere after school or wondering around and lost in a crowd. Parents can check their child location through GPS service provider whenever they want. Some service provider can notify parents immediately through phone call, email, website or SMS if their children stopped by somewhere they should not be.
Children tracking devices are innovated base on GPS tracking technology. GPS is stand for Global Positioning Systems which make a great use of satellites orbiting around our earth for tracking purposes and navigation purposes. There are a number of satellites which launch by U.S. government for these purposes. GPS tracking device has a communication devices act as a receiver and transmitter to communicate with these satellites and use the information they received from satellites to determine the exact location of the devices.
Children tracking devices can operate in several ways as the service provider programmed them. The simplest type of children tracking devices can simply determine the current location of the children. The more advance devices can be programmed to alert the parents once their child go outside a safe area decided by their parent. Some model of children tracking devices can even tell parents about hearth rate, blood pressure, body temperature. But these kinds of devices usually need to be attached to children body to operate correctly which normally come in a form of wristwatches.
A real time tracking is very helpful when take a view from security and safety perspective. It allows parent to find the exact location of their child at any given time. If there is a kidnap happens with their child, with proper setting of safe area programmed in tracking devices, they can fire an alert to the parent immediately about what go wrong. The parent can use information from the devices and take an immediate action to determine whether their child is kidnapped or not. After that, they can use tracking devices to track the exact current location of the kidnapper and determine further on where the kidnapper is heading. They can use this information to help the police to work out rescues plan.
Knowing your child whereabouts is very important to keep them away from harm. Children tracking devices is a very effective tool to enhance your child safety. Each model offers a different feature and functionality. So make sure you do some research on each device before you buy.
