What is Selective Availability - SA?
Answered By Editor
Selective Availability is a feature included
in GPS. This is made intentionally to degrade
signals that GPS receives. With the SA on,
the accuracy of the GPS is lowered, while if
it is off, the accuracy rate is higher. The
SA was included in the GPS for the reason
that during war, SA is supposed to be turned
on so that the enemy will have lower accuracy
level in determining their location.
